As expressed by the UN Chief in May 2018, the climate catastrophe is an 'existential threat' to humanity. The climate catastrophe is not coming, it is here, affecting lives and livelihoods.
The effects are felt widely as agriculture is under strain and arctic and oceans are experiencing warming that undermines plant, animal and human life. The People's Dialogue is interested in how those most marginalised respond to climate change. We demand a truly ‘just transition’ for workers and the poor as well as communities in the Global South who are marginalised by the world's economic and political powers.
